A House of Allah. A Home for the Ummah. A Legacy for Generations.
By the mercy of Allah (SWT), an extraordinary opportunity has emerged to establish a welcoming masjid and Islamic community center in the heart of Hickory Hills, Illinois — a spiritual home for our children, families, elders, and the generations to come.
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
For years, families in our surrounding communities have experienced a growing need for accessible places of worship, Islamic education, youth engagement, and meaningful community connection.
With the acceptance of our purchase contract for a property at 8747 S. Roberts Road, we have taken an important step toward realizing our collective dream: establishing a masjid and Islamic community center that will serve our children, families, elders, and future generations, insha'Allah.
We envision more than a building. We envision a spiritual home where hearts connect with Allah, children develop a love for the Qur'an, young people discover their purpose, families strengthen their relationships, and neighbors come together in service and harmony.
Our mission rests upon five essential commitments rooted in the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah.
Strengthening our relationship with Allah through worship, remembrance, and spiritual development.
Making Qur'anic and Islamic education accessible to children, youth, and adults alike.
Supporting healthy families, strong marriages, and intergenerational connections.
Preparing young Muslims to become confident, ethical, and responsible contributors to society.
Demonstrating Islamic values through compassion, community engagement, and service to humanity.
Bringing Muslims of every background together upon the shared foundations of Islam. Learn more →
The following are planned services, to be introduced progressively as facilities, resources, staffing, and approvals permit, insha'Allah.
The five daily congregational prayers in a welcoming, spiritually uplifting environment.
Jumu'ah khutbahs, Taraweeh, Qur'anic programs, and community iftars during Ramadan.
After-school and weekend Qur'an reading, Tajweed, memorization, and Islamic studies.
Mentorship, leadership, identity workshops, and a place where young Muslims truly belong.
Marriage education, parenting workshops, and sisters' worship, education, and engagement.
Charitable outreach, support for families in hardship, and respectful interfaith understanding.
"Indeed, the mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, give zakah, and fear none except Allah."
Surah At-Tawbah 9:18A masjid is not simply a place of bricks and concrete. It is a sacred institution sustained by faith, sincerity, worship, generosity, and service.
مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ
"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him something like it in Paradise."
Sahih al-Bukhari 450; Sahih Muslim 533Every prayer offered, every Qur'anic lesson taught, every child inspired, and every family supported represents the potential for continuing reward — an ongoing charity whose benefit may continue long after our lives have ended.
Proposed acquisition fundraising goal — we are working toward completing the acquisition and preparing the property for its intended community use.
Progress shown is illustrative. Verified totals and donation details will be published once the receiving entity and payment arrangements are confirmed.
The masjid we establish today may become the place where our grandchildren learn their first surah tomorrow. We invite you to participate according to your ability, with sincerity and trust in Allah.
